BPM

BPM stands for Business Process Mapping. The purpose of BPM is to give the client an overview as well as to enable the client to assess which processes and communication channels may be optimised and used in a future integrated production IT system.

AN GROUP uses BPM for maping, optimising purposes of business processes. When designing a BPM model for a company or a department, AN GROUP sets up interviews with innovative key people in order to identify and structure expectations as to how the company would like its business processes in the future.

Segment of a BPM model.

The boxes shown in the BPM model represent specific tasks within the present organisational units. The arrows represent the flow of information between the business processes.

The BPM method shows:

  • The contents of the individual business processes, e.g. description of the different tasks in the individual business processes.

  • The course of business processes and how these are managed. It shows the responsibility of the individual function and how the business processes exceed function and department boundaries.

  • The flow of information which ensures that the tasks carried out in the individual business process are coordinated within the individual function/department as well as across the organisation.

AN GROUP´s BPM model gives the user:

  • An overview of business processes

  • A graphic display of all information channels which enhance communication in the company

  • Focus on the problem and business areas that may be further improved

  • A description of tasks and the flows of information related to these
